Hi there! 👋

Software Engineer with a passion for understanding the inner working of the digital world.

My interest with technology began during my bachelor’s degree at Mekelle University (MIT- Ethiopia ), where I was first introduced to the fundamental language of zeros and ones that power electronic devices. There, I studied computers, created programs, I tinkered electronics.

After completing my degree, I worked in INSA (Information Network Security Agency) as a security Engineer. Then, in 2021, I received scholarship and I pursued a Master’s degree in Computer Science with a specialization in cybersecurity at the University of Twente. Most recently, I completed an Engineering Doctorate (EngD) in Software Technology at Eindhoven University of Technology. As part of my graduation project at ASML, I designed and developed an automation tool to migrate legacy test code into a modern testing framework.

In my free time, I like to stay active and keep my mind engaged. I enjoy playing tennis, swimming, and soccer, although I haven’t played much tennis lately. I also like taking part in cybersecurity competitions called Capture The Flag (CTF). I play chess for fun too, but my rating is around 700 Elo for now
